Your journey begins as your guide picks you up from your hotel in the morning. You'll embark on a scenic drive heading to Murchison Falls National Park, with a fascinating stopover at the Rhino Sanctuary along the way.

This sanctuary spans 70 square kilometers and is home to over 35 white rhinos, playing a crucial role in reintroducing these majestic animals to Uganda's wilderness. Here, you'll have the unique opportunity to observe rhinos in their natural habitat, walking among them on foot for an up-close experience.

After the Rhino Sanctuary visit, we'll pause for a delightful lunch before continuing our journey to Murchison Falls National Park. As you venture deeper into the park, be prepared to be immersed in the stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife that awaits you.

Day 2

Game drive & boat safari on the River Nile

At 6:30 am, we'll set off for a morning game drive. Hoping to see: baboons, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda Kob, hartebeests, oribis, waterbucks, bushbucks, reedbucks, warthogs, and side-striped jackals. If we're lucky, we may even catch glimpses of elusive carnivores like lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas.

In the afternoon, you will go for boat cruise along the River Nile. We hope to see; hippos basking in the sun, crocodiles lurking in the shallows, and a myriad of bird species soaring overhead. Look out for magnificent avian species such as the goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, saddle-billed stork, and with a stroke of luck, the elusive shoe bill stork.

After two hours on the water, we'll disembark at the base of the Murchison Falls. From there, we'll embark on a hike to the top of the fall. At the summit, you'll reunite with your driver/guide before making our way back to the lodge.

Following breakfast, we'll bid farewell to Murchison Falls and hit the road, embarking on a scenic drive towards our next destination. The journey to Kibale Forest is an adventure in itself, offering glimpses of Uganda's diverse landscapes and vibrant culture along the way. While the duration of the drive may vary depending on road conditions, we anticipate arriving at Kibale Forest around 2:00 pm.

Upon reaching Kibale, you'll have the opportunity to stretch your legs and explore the surrounding area. For those eager to delve deeper into the local culture and natural beauty, an optional community walk is available. This leisurely stroll will take us through the captivating crater lakes region, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of the shimmering lakes nestled amidst the lush greenery.

After fueling up with a hearty breakfast, we'll make our way to the park headquarters, where our thrilling journey begins. We'll receive a short briefing from one of the knowledgeable park staff members, who will provide essential information about chimpanzee trekking and the guidelines we need to follow during our excursion.

Kibale Forest is celebrated as one of the best places in East Africa for primate tracking, offering unparalleled opportunities to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

After an exhilarating morning in the forest, we'll break for a well-deserved lunch, savoring the flavors of a delicious meal amidst the tranquil surroundings of Kibale. Following our midday reprieve, we'll bid farewell to Kibale Forest and set our sights on our next destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Queen Elizabeth National Park will serve as our one-night stopover, strategically positioned to reduce the distance between Kibale Forest and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After breakfast, we embark on an exhilarating journey from Queen Elizabeth National Park to the captivating wilderness of Bwindi Forest. Our route takes us through the scenic southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as Ishasha, famous for its population of tree-climbing lions.

Along the way, we'll also have the opportunity to spot a variety of other wildlife species, including elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, leopards, and hyenas, adding an exciting dimension to our journey.

As we bid farewell to Ishasha, we continue our expedition towards Bwindi Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity and, most notably, its population of endangered mountain gorillas.
Upon arrival in Bwindi Forest, we'll settle into our accommodation and take some time to relax and unwind amidst the tranquility of the forest surroundings.

Day 6

After a hearty breakfast, we gather at the park headquarters promptly by 7:30 AM, where we join fellow visitors for a comprehensive briefing conducted by knowledgeable park staff. Following the briefing, we are assigned to our respective gorilla trekking groups, each led by an experienced guide who will accompany us into the forest.

The duration of the trek can vary widely, ranging from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family on any given day. We spend a precious hour in their company, capturing memories through photographs and forging a profound connection with these remarkable animals.

After bidding farewell to the gorillas, we have the option to embark on an evening community walk through the villages near the forest, providing a fascinating glimpse into the local way of life and cultural traditions. Alternatively, we may choose to relax and unwind amidst the serene beauty of Lake Bunyonyi, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

En route, we make a stop in Mbarara for a delightful lunch, savoring the flavors of local cuisine and reminiscing about the incredible experiences shared during our safari expedition. Our journey continues with a visit to the equator, where we pause to capture memorable photographs and indulge in some souvenir shopping, acquiring mementos to commemorate our African odyssey.

Upon our arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, we bid farewell to our dedicated guide and transfer to the airport, where we prepare to fly back home.
