Upon your arrival in Rwanda, you will be greeted by a Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kigali International Airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you will check in and have the opportunity to relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 2

Kigali - Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kigali and begin a city tour, stopping first at the Genocide Memorial Site, which provides a brief history of Rwanda. Following the city tour, we will drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival in Musanze, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center.

Lunch will be provided on the way, after which you will visit a nearby village to experience Rwandan culture, including traditional dance performances.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

Volcanoes National Park - Lake Kivu

After breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters in the morning with your trekking gear and drinking water for a briefing before ascending into the forest to track the golden monkeys.

During the golden monkey trekking experience, you will discover fascinating facts about these unique primates, adding to the richness of your Rwanda tour.

After lunch, you will be driven to Lake Kivu, which borders Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Upon reaching the lake, you will enjoy the rest of your evening at the lakeside, taking in the serene surroundings.

After breakfast in the morning, you will have the option to either go kayaking or take a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Afterwards, you will drive back to Kigali for your departure flight to Uganda.

Upon your arrival in Uganda, you will be greeted by a Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. The vehicle will drop you off near the falls, where you can hike from the top of the falls to the bottom. This is an exciting experience that brings you very close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes through the narrow crevice below. The mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows, adding to the beauty of the scene.

Day 6

Murchison Falls National Park

Embark on an early morning game drive on the northern bank, where your guide will help you spot a great number of animals and birds. After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and rest until your afternoon boat ride at 2:00pm.

Safari upstream by boat to the calm Victoria Nile and the base of the falls. You’ll marvel at toothsome hippos and crocodiles. Over the 17-kilometer stretch, you may also see elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs. This area is also home to many bird species.

In the evening, enjoy another game drive to spot any animals you might have missed during the morning drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Murchison Falls, driving southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the western Great Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima and the Kyejonjo district en route to the colorful and beautiful town of Fort Portal. Fort Portal is capital of the Tooro kingdom and is situated in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori.

You will arrive at Kyaninga Lodge, which is located at the top of the Kyaninga Crater Lake, in time for lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a nearby camp.

Today’s chimpanzee tracking starts early and takes about two to three hours, depending on the chimps’ location.

After the trek, you will return to the resort for lunch and then drive to Sempaya Hot Springs, which are the main attraction of this park and the highlight of our safari. At the springs, you will witness water boiling itself using natural forces. The strength and heat of the springs are amazing. One can boil eggs and matooke (a type of banana) in a few minutes, making them ready to eat.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

After breakfast, you will visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and the three surrounding explosion crater lakes. This makes for an interesting day adventure and can be done while staying in Fort Portal. The side-trip to the Amabere Caves and the crater lakes will involve hiking and learning about the local culture and legends.

Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will go on a boat drive. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a game drive to spot some of the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes) and other wildlife.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you’ll depart with packed lunches in hand for the park headquarters alongside your guide. Here, you will receive a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking.

Your gorilla trekking adventure will take you through the misty rainforest. The trek can last between 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Be sure to carry sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, rain jackets, and enough water.

After this long and exciting adventure, you’ll return to the lodge to freshen up. You will then be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, a picturesque site characterized by the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across its surface.

Upon your arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, you will check in at your hotel for lunch and then head out for a game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for being an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons are also residents here.

Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes and is world-famous for attracting millions of flamingos to its alkaline shores. You’ll witness the legions of fuchsia-pink flamingos feeding on the abundant algae that grows in the warm and shallow waters, which is a sight to behold.

After breakfast, you will spend half a day in the park with a packed lunch in hand, searching for its well-known predators and their prey. The Masai Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is easy to believe that over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants.

After the half-day game drive, you will visit a Maasai village.

An evening game drive will provide you with a few more chances to spot some animals you might have missed in the morning.
