Day 1

Your driver-guide will brief you before you drive southwest to Bwindi Forest. There will be two stopovers: one at the equator to buy crafts and take photos, and another in Mbarara for lunch. Continue your journey to the magnificent Bwindi Forest, which is home to mountain gorillas and other primate species, arriving in the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart the lodge with a packed lunch in hand and drive straight to the park headquarters. Here, you will meet the park rangers and receive a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will then begin the trek, guided by knowledgeable rangers. The duration of the trek depends on the movement of the mountain gorillas and can last between 2-8 hours.
You are encouraged to carry enough water, a towel, raincoat, hat, and wear sturdy shoes. You will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax. In the evening, you may choose to rest at the lodge or visit the Batwa community to learn about their culture and customs. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector along the way, which is known for its tree-climbing lions and other wildlife such as monkeys, kobs, buffaloes, elephants, and various bird species. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. On the cruise, you will see many water animals, including hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants coming to drink, as well as birds such as the malachite kingfisher and saddle-billed stork. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

The day begins with an early morning search for tree-climbing lions and the mating grounds of the Uganda kob. You will also look for elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. With abundant birdlife, elephants, buffaloes, and hundreds of hippos cooling off at the shores, this cruise is sure to be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

With the superb memories of the past four days surrounding you, enjoy a hearty and delicious breakfast. Later you will depart for Kampala, with stopovers at the Equator and for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Kampala in the evening, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
