Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Settle into your accommodation, and get ready to start your safari properly in the morning.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire

Arusha to Tarangire

You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 am and then take a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Later, you will head to the FanakaLodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is located 115km from Arusha and covers an area of of 2,800 square kilometers. Animals drink water from the Tarangire River (where the name Tarangire derives from). The park's major attractions are large herds of elephants, tree-climbing pythons, and baobab trees. You will also be able to see lions, leopards, and other animals.

You will have a short visit to a Maasai boma near your lodge where you will learn more about the Maasai culture and traditions.

Day 3

You will wake up at around 6:30 am for breakfast and then head to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will be able to see all of the Big Five, as well as many different species of birds. The crater is also home to the black rhino. You will have lunch inside the crater while watching nature and high concentrations of flamingos.

Enjoy your experience in the astounding Ngorongoro Crater which is famous for being the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera in the world. As a result of a major explosion and collapse about 2 to 3 million years ago, the crater was officially hailed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa in 2015. The crater offers the following animal statistics; more than 6,000 wildebeest, 20 black rhinos, and many other animals like kobs, antelopes, jackals, hippos, and a variety of bird species.

After a full day inside the crater, our driver guide will drive you back to Arusha.
