Masai Mara National Reserve
This day is dedicated to game viewing in Kenya’s premier wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa’s “Big Five” and the wide variety of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan reserve. On clear days, the Masai Mara offers stunning, orange-tinged sunsets that are well worth capturing on camera.
Throughout the reserve, you will encounter abundant wildlife such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in large numbers. Lions are commonly seen, either resting after a heavy meal or scanning the plains for their next hunt. Cheetahs and leopards are less easy to spot but are reasonably common.

At 6:00 am, you’ll enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and then head out for an early morning game drive. Witness the sunrise and track wildcats as they hunt; with some luck, you may even witness a kill. Between 9:00 am and 9:30 am, you’ll return to the camp or lodge for a full breakfast. Afterward, check out and drive to the Kenya–Tanzania border at Isebania.
After completing visa formalities, continue the drive to Serengeti National Park, which shares the same ecosystem as the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is Tanzania's largest game park, covering approximately 14,736 km² of African savannah. The Serengeti is a year-round destination, known for excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year.
Together with the neighboring Masai Mara in Kenya, the Serengeti is world-renowned for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration. This spectacle sees vast herds of grazers crossing the plains in search of fresh pasture.

Serengeti National Reserve
Serengeti National Reserve
Over two days, we will explore the vast Serengeti plains on game drives, searching for the wide variety of wildlife found in this iconic park. The Serengeti is one of Africa's most famous game reserves, known for its expansive open savannahs teeming with animals.
The Great Migration sees over a million wildebeest move through the grasslands and rivers. This migration also includes other hoofed animals such as zebra, Thomson's gazelle, impala, topi, Grant's gazelle, kongoni, eland, Kirk's dik-dik, oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, and giraffe. This massive movement of grazers attracts predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and bat-eared foxes.
Birdwatching in the Serengeti is also rewarding, with frequent sightings of ostriches, kori bustards, larks, finches, raptors, and the distinctive lilac-breasted roller.

Along the way we’ll make a short stop at the Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known as the "cradle of humankind." It is one of the world’s most significant prehistoric sites.
In the afternoon, we’ll drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to a rich variety of wildlife within one of the largest intact volcanic calderas in the world.
