Day 1

Meet our representative (a professional driver-guide) at the airport who will have a board with your name on it. He will take you to your hotel in Arusha town for check-in. You will then proceed on the Arusha City Tour where you will be exploring different interesting areas.

Later in the evening, before dinner, you will be briefed about your experience which begins the next day.

Day 2

City Tour and Canoeing on Lake Duluti

City Tour and Canoeing on Lake Duluti

Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and you will start the tour in the central part of Arusha town (Clock Tower) where you will learn about the town and its people. You will then head to the Maasai market and look at the different souvenirs which are locally designed and made by the local people. You will continue to explore the city and head to the famous local market where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. You will have lunch at around 13h00.

After lunch, you will transfer to Lake Duluti where you will board a canoe on arrival. During the canoeing tour, you will experience the wildlife and the breathtaking scenes of Mount Meru. You have 2 to 2.5 hours to relax on the trip.

Return to your hotel to enjoy the facilities for the rest of the day while you wait for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park - Home of the Elephants

Tarangire National Park - Home of the Elephants

Depart from Arusha at 07h30 and head to Tarangire National Park. It takes only 2 to 2.5 hours (120km) to drive to the national park entrance.

You will have about 10 minutes for the washroom at the entrance while your guide completes the legal formalities at the park's authority offices before the morning and afternoon game drives (lunch included). In the early evening, after the game drive, you will exit the park and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Bicycle Tour & Walking via the Great East Africa Rift Valley

Experience the local culture on a 3-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. You will visit local farms, schools, churches, milling machines, and a local bar. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village.

Cycle to the lakeshore where there are stunning vistas of the lake, the Rift Valley wall, and small herds of wildlife. The ride is on fairly flat single tracks.

Later, you will be taken back to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Visit a Maasai Village

Visit a Maasai Village

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will leave your hotel and head to the village, a 1-hour drive. On arrival, you will spend a few hours with the Maasai people. Learn about their art and dance, spiritual customs, medical and herbal practices, crafts, and, of course, their hearty and tasty cuisine.

In the late afternoon, you will be driven back to your lodge.

Day 6

The Tree-climbing Lions Park

After breakfast, leave the campsite and head to Tarangire National Park to continue your amazing wildlife adventure. A drive of approximately 30 minutes (28km) will be enough to arrive at the park entrance.

After completing the legal formalities, the morning game drive will begin. You will have lunch at the picnic site before proceeding with the afternoon game drive until the evening. Later, you will exit the park and head to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

The Bushmen

The Bushmen

After breakfast, you will be taken directly to the village where you will meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. The local guide will explain to you how they hunt, track wildlife, make fire, and even take honey from bee nests. He will then introduce you to his people and explain a little more about their customs and the way of life.

Enjoy the Hadzabe tour where you walk into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife.

Later, you will say goodbye to the locals and you will be on your way to Karatu where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 8

After breakfast at the lodge at 07h30, we pick you up at 08h00 to start the game drive en route to Serengeti National Park gate via Ngorongoro. We arrive at 12h00, and after the 10-minute registration process, start the game drive inside the park.

At 13h00, we have lunch at the picnic site (we cater to both meat eaters and vegetarians). At 14h00, we continue the afternoon game drive until the evening at around 18h00. We then head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

At 05h30, we have a light breakfast at the lodge and leave at 06h00 for the sunrise game drive in Serengeti. We return to the lodge at 10h00 for a full breakfast. At 13h00, we enjoy lunch at the picnic site (we cater to meat eaters and vegetarians). At 14h00, we continue the afternoon game drive until the evening at around 18h00. We then head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti has endless plains with savannah grassland. It provides a wide feeding area throughout the year for wildebeest, many antelope species, and zebra. This gives you the potential to see predators such as cheetah, lion, hyena and other wild cats.

In the Seronera Valley, there is dotted acacia vegetation which appears in a group-like structure (known as kopjes). This provides a vantage for predators to spot their prey. It also provides a home for reptiles such as lizards and pythons.

Day 10

At 05h30, we have a light breakfast at the lodge and leave at 06h00 for the sunrise game drive. We return to the lodge at 10h00 for a full breakfast. At 13h00, we enjoy lunch at the picnic site (we cater to meat eaters and vegetarians).

At 15h00, we exit Serengeti National Park and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We have dinner from 18h00 - 18h30 at Rhino Lodge.

Today's game drive will be in the Central Serengeti, but will most likely be based in the southern part which will give you more opportunities to spot hunting actions. We can then exit without a delay, heading to your lodge located at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 11

After breakfast, we depart from the lodge with a picnic lunch and descend into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater to spend the day spotting the wonders of the crater.

In the crater, there is a high possibility to spot all of the Big 5 animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), depending on the day. After lunch, you will continue with an afternoon game drive until the evening when you will exit the park and return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will depart from the hotel and head toward Materuni Village, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro (a 2-hour drive).

You will learn about the traditions and customs as well as how the local Chagga people grow and process the coffee. You will visit a coffee farm and make your own strong coffee locally. You will enjoy your picnic lunch and hike for 45 minutes to the Materuni Waterfalls (which are about 80m higher) to explore nature.
