Kigali international airport pick up and transfer to your hotel

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will meet our driver guide who is hospitable and he will brief you about your upcoming activities before he transfers you to your hotel. If you arrive in the morning time, there will be an option to visit Kimironko local market.

Transfer to Nyungwe National Park, canopy walk

After an early breakfast, you will drive about 5hours towards Nyungwe National. You will reach Nyungwe in the afternoon and have your lunch. After lunch, you will go to experience the canopy walk around 2Pm.

Later you will be transferred to your hotel and stay at Emeraud hotel along the lake kivu shores.

Lowland Gorilla trek and Bukavu city tour

After your breakfast, you will go to trek Gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. Trek usually requires 1-2.5 hours of hiking each way, depending on location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After spending the allotted hour with the gorilla family group, you will make your way back to your hotel. After your lunch, in the afternoon you will proceed with Bukavu City tour.

Visit Lwiro chimpanzee sanctuary

After your breakfast, we will visit Lwiro Primates rehabilitation center, which is recognized as world heritage site in danger since 1997. The sanctuary takes care of 83 chimpanzees, 105 monkeys and 12 other species. It gives orphaned chimps a second chance of life while also ensuring to protect them the wild as well. You will not only visit them but you will participate in the conservation activities in the sanctuary. This activity will take a whole day and then later get transferred to your hotel.

Transfer to Goma, Tchukudu experience and Tchegera Island

After your breakfast, you will embark to Goma with a rapid boat around 7h30 Am. Normally, a rapid boat takes 2 hours to reach Goma and go to check in at Ihusi hotel. After your lunch in Goma, you will meet local community and try to ride the made-in-Goma wooden bike famously known as “Tchukudu”. After that experience in the village, after this activity you will get transferred to Tchegera island and stay the midrange camp.

Transfer to Rwanda, canoeing in Mukungwa River in Musanze and traditional dance

After your breakfast at Tchegera and taking photos for your memories, you will get transferred to Goma and cross DRC-Rwanda border to drive about 2 hours towards the north province, the home to Gorillas. You will go to experience canoeing in Mukungwa River, a river that is nearby the volcanoes.

Later after in the evening, you will go to visit Iby’iwacu cultural center, a local community surrounding the volcanoes and learn about their history and how they are involved in Volcanoes park conservation. They will dance as you get part of them. You will also buy some souvenirs from this local community as a sign of support.

Golden Monkey trek and Musanze local market

After your breakfast, you will head to volcanoes national park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will go in a convoy to trek the friendliest creatures, which are Golden Monkeys. You will only remain with them for 1 hour taking pictures for your memories before you get back to your lodge.
Later in the evening, you will proceed with Musanze city tour and visit the local market to buy more souvenirs.

Visit Dian Fossey Gorilla fund center

After your breakfast, we will go to visit Dian Fossey Gorilla fund to learn about the pioneer of the mountain Gorilla conservation. It is has been a long journey since Dian Fossey got involved in conserving Mountain Gorillas as she encountered with the local community resistance called poachers. You will learn all her efforts and contribution towards the apes’ conservation in Rwanda and DRC especially Chimps, Gorillas and Monkeys from the beginning up to her death.
Later after the visit, the remaining experience will be reserved to your personal experience in Musanze.

Transfer to Kigali, kigali city tour

After breakfast, you will drive about 2 hours towards Kigali and later in the afternoon, you will proceed with Kigali city tour. Along your city tour, you will visit Kimironko local market, a well ornamented market with local food and handcrafts. You will buy your memories in this market before you head to your hotel.

Transfer to Bujumbura, Bujumbura city tour

After your early breakfast, you will drive about 1.5hour passing through the hills covered with great nature and panoramic view and get to Gasenyi-Nemba border to check in and cross the Burundi-Rwanda Border. You will reach Bujumbura in the afternoon, have your lunch and then later proceed with Bujumbura City tour, visit some mausoleums including Prince Louis Rwagasore and the Unity monument to learn how Burundi unified after the colonial period.
You will also walk along Lake Tanganyika and visit the Saga beach, a well-known and large beach in Bujumbura with white sand.

Karera waterfalls and the source of White Nile

After your breakfast, you will get in your safari vehicle and start driving toward Rutana. It is around 3-hour car drive. You will get in Rutana around 9, visit the source of Nile and then after start experiencing the Karera waterfalls which are divided into 4 waterfalls. The waters from the waterfalls have healing powers that serve as medication. That is why you will find local and international visitors coming in, stepping in the water to seek for the divine healing from the water. The site is surrounded by breathtaking sceneries that attract the attention of everyone.

Later after, you will drive about one hour toward Gitega, the new capital of Burundi and stay at Helena hotel.

Gishora drums' sanctuary and Gitega National museum

After your breakfast, you will go to experience Burundian culture. You will be welcomed by royal drumers. You will be astonished by their rapidity in jumping in air and how talented they are. You will just learn and imitate how to beat drums and dance. After your lunch in Gitega, you will go to visit the Gitega National museum to learn more about burundian culture before you get transferred to Bujumbura.
