Day 1

Drive to Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park. It will take approximately two hours to reach the park's entry gate. Tarangire National Park is well known as the home of elephants. The game drive will start from the main entrance, and some of the animals that we will encounter along the way are impalas, giraffes, and zebras. Next, your guide will lead you to the Tarangire River, whereby an abundance of elephants is commonly seen. We will proceed with the game drive until the afternoon. Our lunch will be at a picnic site on the top of Tarangire River, followed by an afternoon game drive. In the evening, we will drive to Mto Wa Mbu for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 2

Game Drive at Lake Manyara National Park

Game Drive at Lake Manyara National Park

We will drive for about 10 minutes to the gate of Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Here at the park, you will see buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lions, and leopards.

After breakfast, we will drive to the park for a game drive. You can start the game drive early in the morning and return to the camp for a hot lunch. After lunch, we will take a cultural tour with a local guide. This tour includes biking, walking, and visiting the local market. Finally, we will return to the camp in the late afternoon for our dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Drive to Central Serengeti National Park

Drive to Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will drive directly to Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch. The drive to the gate of the Ngorongoro National Park takes about half an hour. About five kilometers inside the park, we will reach the crater viewpoint and stop to get information about the crater. From here, we will proceed to Serengeti National Park, viewing animals along the way. Due to stopping en route to view animals, the drive will take about two hours. Finally, we will exit the gate of the Ngorongoro National Park and enjoy a picnic lunch under a tree inside the park. We will exit the Ngorongoro National Park at the same gate as the entrance to the Serengeti National Park. Upon entering the Serengeti National Park, our game drive starts, from where we will proceed to Central Serengeti National Park, about 45 kilometers away—our game drive will be en route. We continue with a game drive in the evening as we head towards the campsite for our overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we depart for a game drive of about five hours. The Serengeti National Park is well-known for its endless plains and the abundance of carnivores such as hyenas, lions, leopards, jackals, and cheetahs. Rocks in the area are home to different animals like hyrax, lions, and even leopards! We will return to the camp in the afternoon for lunch. While you enjoy lunch, we will load our camping equipment in the Jeep. After lunch, we will depart for Ngorongoro National Park with a game drive en route. We will exit the Serengeti National Park at the same gate where we enter the Ngorongoro National Park. We will enjoy a game drive en route as we drive to our campsite. Our overnight stay is in the Ngorongoro National Park.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Tour and return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, we will descend 600 meters to the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is a self-dependent ecosystem, home of carnivores and herbivores. If lucky, we might see the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephants, and buffaloes) in the crater. We will see several water birds at Magadi Lake, including beautiful flamingoes, herons, and pelicans. The Lerai Forest is home to baboons, monkeys, elephants, bushbucks, waterbucks, and even leopards! The crater floor is 260 square kilometers, and the Munge River is the source of freshwater in the area. We will see hippopotami around the swamp area and other animals grazing in the open areas. In the afternoon, we will have lunch at a picnic site where hippos are often seen nearby. After lunch, we will ascent the crater and drive to Arusha or the airport with a last game drive en route.
