Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda

Begin your journey with an early breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, where your safari guide will meet you for a briefing on the upcoming Uganda & Rwanda gorilla tracking adventure. Your first stop will be the Kigali Genocide Museum, where you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on the tragic events of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. Afterward, continue your scenic drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, with a lunch stop en route, either before or after crossing the border. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge. Take the rest of the evening to relax and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay at Bweza Gorilla Lodge or a similar accommodation.

Gorilla Tracking, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the ranger station for a briefing on the gorilla tracking guidelines, which include important dos and don’ts for interacting with the gorillas. Then, accompanied by an expert ranger guide, embark on a trek into the lush forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once you locate the group, you’ll be allowed one hour to observe them from a safe distance of no less than 10 meters, capturing the rare opportunity to witness these majestic creatures up close in their natural environment. After the trek, return to your lodge to unwind and enjoy a well-deserved meal. Overnight stay at Bweza Gorilla Lodge or a similar accommodation.
