Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will follow the most striking trails down to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the 7 natural wonders of Africa and often dubbed as the 8th wonder of the World. “Breathtaking”, perhaps, is the only expression that perfectly describes the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is understood to be a result of a collapsed Mountain more than a million years ago. You will get to see different a variety of wildlife species from herbivores, predators to scavengers like hyenas.

There are not many destinations in Africa where the big 5 can be spotted in a single day because of its self-sustaining ecosystem, however, this does not occur on most occasions.
You will ascend the crater at around 17:00 and drive back to Arusha or head straight to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch flight home.
