Arrival, and Transfer from Airport to Arusha

Met by our representative on arrival at Kilimanjaro Int'l Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay.

If arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport the drive to the hotel in Arusha will take about 45 mins, a distance of around 50Kms.

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will meet an office representative / your tour guide for a briefing about your safari, then take about 3 hours’ drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will take in the scenic views of the grassland plains speckled with the ancient baobab trees, nomadic people (Masai) in their colourful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkeys’ carts and traditional Maasai houses.

You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. In midday, you will have your lunch at the base of the crater. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five

In the afternoon we will ascend the crater and drive to Airport for night flight back home or spend this night in Arusha (optional).
