Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After a hearty breakfast, your adventure begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel. Accompanied by your expert guide, you will head toward the breathtaking Tarangire National Park. Once a colonial hunting ground, this remarkable reserve became a national park in 1970. Today, it spans an area comparable to the size of Luxembourg, offering an incredibly diverse ecosystem. The park is renowned for its vast population of elephants—one of the largest in northern Tanzania—as well as an impressive variety of wildlife. With a bit of luck, you might also encounter lions, cheetahs, or even elusive leopards. Tarangire’s landscape is equally captivating, particularly the massive, ancient baobab trees that dominate its northeastern region. These iconic giants create a surreal backdrop for your safari. After an exciting and immersive game drive, you’ll retreat for a restful overnight stay at the charming Eileen’s Trees Inn, surrounded by nature’s tranquility.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

Afterwards it goes on partly adventurous roads about 600 meters downward into the crater. The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometers and is the home of a great animal world. Nearly all the biodiversity of the East African savannah has gathered here, only giraffes and a few other animal species for which the rock faces are too steep do not live in the crater. Depending on the season, 15,000 to 25,000 animals are gathering here, thereof more than two thirds buffaloes, gnus, zebras and gazelles. This large number of grazers also explains why in the crater the largest density of predators in Africa can be found. Beside other predators more than 100 lions live here in several prides. The chances of watching the "Big Five" lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard within just a few hours are here particularly good.
