Johannesburg to the Umkumbe Safari Lodge

You will be picked up in Johannesburg at the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 7:00 am. Drive east along the N4 motorway through the Gauteng and Mpumalanga Highveld, down the escarpment, and into the scenic Lowveld to the reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park.

The drive will take about six hours, with stops for refreshments. After arriving at the lodge at around midday, you will have time to freshen up and relax before embarking on your first-afternoon game drive in the reserve in an open safari vehicle.

If the weather permits, a delicious starlit dinner will be served at the lodge.

You'll spend the night in luxury at Umkumbe Safari Lodge, and your package includes lunch and dinner.

Final Safari Drive and Return to Johannesburg

You'll get up early, grab a hot beverage and rusk, and head out on your final morning game drive. You'll return to the lodge for breakfast after witnessing the sunrise before departing for Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off location around 5:00 pm.
