Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge

Come with us as we trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees. Once we find these remarkable primates, you'll share an extraordinary encounter with some of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.
Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, located on the eastern edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park, is one of Uganda’s most dramatic and immersive wildlife experiences. Unlike other chimpanzee destinations in the country, Kyambura offers a rare combination of primates, geology, forest ecology, and adventure, all concentrated within a deep, forested canyon often described as a “hidden world” beneath the savannah.

After Briefing, you will start on your day’s trek. Searching for the gorillas may take like 2-5hrs depending on where they were last spotted the previous day. Once they have been spotted, you will be given one hour to take videos, photos and also get a chance to ask the rangers and the guides any questions about these giant apes.
