Go for Africa's 3rd highest peak Margherita
You will wake up very early to begin the summit to Uganda's highest peak, Margherita peak on Mt. Stanley. This is an arduous 4 -5 hour climb depending on the weather conditions. Hopefully there is no snow storm or blizzard. The trek takes you over three glaciers - some of the only ones remaining in the whole world. After crossing the Stanley plateau with its deep snow, scramble to the top at 16761 (5109m) above sea level.
You are now officially one of the very few people in the world who have reached this tropical and icy height. Unlike the better known Kilimanjaro, the Rwenzori have very few climbers each year. This means you are always exploring and discovering something this is world.
After the summit photos, descend back to Kitandara camp for overnight.
