Nairobi-Maasai Mara

05:00 hrs. Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport or Nairobi area residence and head out to the Masai Mara. We’ll break up our drive with a stop at the town of Narok for breakfast and arrive at the Mara around mid-morning. check in at the lodge, after lunch you can spend the afternoon at leisure or head for the afternoon game drive.

Extensive Game drive

This is a day of unlimited game drives so get ready to check off the animals on your “to see” list. The Masai Mara features the greatest density of wildlife in this region of Africa and you’re right in the middle of the action. Should you be here during the Great Migration (July – October) you’ll be witness to the sight of thousands of gazelle, zebra, and wildebeest streaming over the Mara River in search of greener pastures. We’ll visit the river and enjoy a picnic lunch, checking out the hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife action play out before us. If you wish, you can take an optional visit to the local Maasai people in their village. You’ll learn about their customs, herding lifestyle, and perhaps pick up some of their beaded handiwork. Another optional treat – an early morning hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Enkorok Camp.

Masai Mara-Nairobi

At the break of dawn you embark on your concluding game drive in Maasai Mara followed by a leisurely breakfast. Check out by 10am for a return road transfer for Nairobi. ( Optional one way flight back to Nairobi available at additional cost). Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [ typically by 3pm]. Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight back home. You may also opt to leave Maasai Mara early to arrive in Nairobi at noon for a chance to explore Nairobi attraction including ( giraffe center, Karen Blixen museum, national museum among others) all entry fee to places of visit are payable direct.
