Zanzibar to Serengeti

Mangokili Team will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar airport. You will check-in and board a small plane then fly by air to Seronera airstrip in the Central Serengeti, arriving in Serengeti in the late morning. You will start game drive to the afternoon where you will head to the lodge for lunch, after that you will head for an evening game drive.

Full day Game Drive in Central Serengeti

After a full breakfast, you will drive into the vast Serengeti to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless wildebeest, and buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras and impalas are quite common. Enjoy a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point while taking in the beautiful scenery and keeping an eye out for wildlife in their nature habitat.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After morning tea or coffee, you will depart the lodge and continue with a game drive to various regions of the park. After an early game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out and begin your journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive at the Ngorongoro Serena lodge in the evening and you enjoy the stunning view of the Ngorongoro crater. You will check in, have dinner, and rest in early so as to be ready for an early morning descent into the crater.

Ngorongoro Crater - Zanzibar Island

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Inside the crater, you will experience Africa’s version of “Noah’s Ark”, with a vast variety of wildlife including elephants, hyenas, big cats, rhinos, and more. In the afternoon, you will stop for lunch at the hippo lake and then enjoy another game drive as you ascend back up to the crater rim. You will return to the lodge, check out and drive to Arusha airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar.
