Day 1

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from Kampala. Then, you will drive to the southwestern part of Uganda via Masaka. You will have 2 stopovers; at the Equator to take photographs and buy souvenirs, and in Mbarara for lunch. Later, you will drive through rolling hills with banana plantations and the stunning terraced Kigezi Highlands.

It will be a great journey as you will have great views of various landscapes. On reaching the park, check in, and later you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, leave the lodge with a packed lunch and report to the park headquarters for a briefing at 7:30 am, which includes the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. After that, in the same area, is the starting point, where you will trek mountain gorillas. You will be guided by an experienced and knowledgeable park ranger guide who will take you to see these gentle giants.

Tracking gorillas takes 2 to 8 hours, depending on their location. After meeting the gentle primates of the jungle, spend a full hour taking photos, watch the young ones play with the adults and later retire from the forest.

Day 3

Canoeing and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Canoeing and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, go for a canoe trip on the lake to see various birds, communities, and landforms such as the islands. Take as many photographs as you can. After the canoe, have lunch and drive to Lake Mburo National Park for an afternoon game drive in search of zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, topi and reedbuck. Retire and drive to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Walking safari in Lake Mburo - Return to Entebbe

Enjoy your breakfast, check out of the lodge, and head to the park for an exciting walking safari. This is one of the experiences that will bring you closer to nature! You will get up close to animals like zebras and several antelopes. After driving to Kampala and having lunch en route, you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the evening with great memories.
