Cape Town to Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve in Oudtshoorn

We will pick you up at your Cape Town lodging at 7:00am and drive on the R62 through tiny communities like Riviersonderend and Riversdale to Oudtshoorn (South Africa's ostrich capital) in the Klein Karoo. Restrooms, refreshments, and snacks will be available during comfort stops along the route (own account). After arriving in Oudtshoorn, we will stop at the Cango Caves for a heritage tour and then travel to the Cango Ostrich Farm. Afternoon travel will take us to Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve, where we will settle into our opulent tent accommodations and have dinner before a restful night.

Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve to Cape Town

Prepare for an early start as we depart from Buffelsdrift Game Lodge for a two-hour morning game drive. You can anticipate seeing authentic Karoo vegetation from our open-game viewing vehicles. Hippos, giraffes, eland, zebra, buffalo, springbok, and many other creatures are among the diverse group of animals in this area. A refreshment stop at one of our scenic lookout spots provides a 360-degree panoramic view of the surroundings and the Swartberg Mountains. After the game drive, we will return to the lookout deck at the lodge, where you will enjoy breakfast while looking at the amazing wildlife and the expansive scenery surrounding the lodge. After breakfast, you will meet the guide taking you on the elephant experience. You can feed the elephants, encounter them up close during this activity, and take photos while our skilled elephant guides share their knowledge of these gentle giants. After that, meet your tour guide in the reception for your transfer back to Cape Town.
