Day 1

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up for a 2-hour drive to the park. The drive along a well-paved road offers views of Maasai people in vibrant dress, herding cattle, and riding bicycles.

A shallow alkaline lake at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment dominates the park. It is famous for tree-climbing lions and a large herd of elephants. The park entrance leads to a junglelike groundwater forest, which is home to large numbers of olive baboons and blue monkeys. It's also home to many bird species, and a stunning site for photographers.

Enjoy lunch at a picnic site with a view of the Rift Valley Escarpment. After lunch, continue with a game drive in the direction of your camp for dinner and sleep.

At an extra cost, you can also do a walking safari tour, canoeing, and a walk on the thrilling 370m/1,200-foot-long treetop walkway that offers a bird’s-eye view into this unique habitat. We can also change your accommodation, start location, and/or arrange a flight to the park.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will embark on a 1-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Crater.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a caldera, or collapsed volcano, that covers an area of 260 square kilometers. It includes a diverse range of habitats, including montane forests, grasslands, acacia forests, a salt lake, and swamps. Due to the diversity of the habitats on the crater floor and sides, an incredible number of different birds and animals, including the Big Five, call Ngorongoro Crater home. This provides visitors with spectacular game viewing in stunning surroundings.

Enjoy your lunch at the famous hippo pool and continue with a game drive until late afternoon, when you'll exit the park for your return to Arusha, Moshi, or the Airport.
