The park is home to lions that are known for their unique tree-climbing behaviour, which is a result of their dislike for the damp soil caused by underground springs. Additionally, the park is abundant in primates, birds, and large mammals.

Day 2
Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Once you have finished breakfast, you will depart from Karatu and embark on a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your journey will take you across the Ngorongoro Highlands until you arrive at the Serengeti gate. Here you will spend the day on game drives, exploring the vast expanse of Serengeti National Park.
Renowned as the most renowned park in Africa, the Serengeti boasts over 15,000sq km of savannah, home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and many other captivating creatures.

On this day, you will take a break and spend an entire day exploring the magnificent Serengeti, renowned for its breathtaking beauty, and the location of the Great Wildebeest Migration. The park is dominated by massive herds of plains game, including wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes, while predators like lions and cheetahs can be spotted among the numerous kopjes scattered across the plain.
The park's landscape is diverse, ranging from expansive grass plains in the south to savannas adorned with scattered acacia trees in the centre and hilly, wooded grasslands in the north. To the west, you'll find extensive woodlands and black clay plains.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will embark on your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, complete with a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night on the crater rim.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a must-visit destination while on a Tanzanian safari due to its exceptional concentration of wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a unique conservation project where the Maasai coexist with their livestock alongside a diverse array of wild animals.

Once you have enjoyed breakfast, you will depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive and picnic lunch. Later on, you will make your way back to Arusha, which marks the end of our safari adventure.
