3-Day Fly Zanzibar to Ndutu Wildebeets' Calving Season

Fly into Ndutu Plains

We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar Airport for your 2-hour flight to Ndutu in Ngorongroro Conservation Area. You will be greeted by an enormous smile from one of our experienced guides. After a brief orientation, lunch and beverages, you will embark on an exploration of the Ndutu plains, in search to witness calving.

Late afternoon, you'll start heading to your accommodation for the hotel amenities, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Full-Day of Calving Tracking in Ndutu

After breakfast, the main highlight is tracking the great migration, followed by a hot lunch in the afternoon.

The great migration is the annual movement of over two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles through the Serengeti (Tanzania) and Masai Mara (Kenya) in search of rain and fresh grazing, following a predictable cycle. From Dec – Mar: Southern Serengeti (Ndutu) witnesses the calving season, with around 8,000 giraffes' and wildbeests' calves born daily making it a prime time for predators lurking for easy prey.

You’ll return to your hotel in the evening, with an option to upgrade your stay.

Serengeti and Flying Out

Wake up very early to catch the sunrise game drive where the sun kisses the golden savannah plains of Serengeti. At this time, you also have the best chances of seeing the predators hunting.

Return to your hotel for breakfast and packing, ready for your transit game drive towards the Seronera Airstrip to catch your return flight.

We can customise your return flight to / from another Airstrip. / Airport.

We can also book a balloon safari for you with our partner companies instead of the sunrise game drive at an additional charge.
