Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Selous) Full Game

Your hotel pick-up time for the tour will be either 5:00 AM or 5:30 AM, depending on your hotel's location. You will be transported to the airport for a 7:20 AM flight to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you will check-in and embark on an unforgettable game drive within the park.

Nyerere National Park is home to a large population of elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, and the endangered wild dog. You can expect to encounter prides of lions, bush bucks, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, hyenas, and even rare sable antelopes and leopards. With luck, you may also spot the now rare African hunting dog.

Around noon (1:00 PM), you'll take a break for lunch before continuing with a game drive for the rest of the day. Later in the evening, you will be driven to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Boat Tour then Fly to Zanzibar

Following breakfast at 6:30 AM, you will proceed to the Great Rufiji River for an incredible 2.5-hour boat tour, scheduled to end at 9:00 AM.

The Rufiji River is a prominent feature of Nyerere National Park and provides a natural backdrop for boat safaris, making it one of the few places in Africa where you can observe wildlife and birdlife from the water. A boat safari presents an excellent opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the African Fish Eagle, Malachite Kingfisher, Goliath Heron, African Skimmer, and Boehm's Bee-Eater. Monkeys such as the Blue Monkey, Savannah Baboon, and Black and White Colobus Monkey are frequently seen in trees lining the riverbank, as well as Nile Monitor Lizards.

After the boat tour, you will head to the airport for a 10:00 AM flight back to Zanzibar.
