Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport to Balule Private Nature Reserve

Our public shuttle partner will wait for you at the OR Tambo International Airport bus terminal. The pickup time is 7:45am, and the drop-off location is Balule Olifants West gate at approximately 1:20pm. One of our guides will pick you up at the Balule Olifants West gate and transfer you to Ku Sungula Safari Lodge. After a warm welcome and check-in into one of the authentic, safari-styled rondavels, it is time for lunch and relaxing until our guide and tracker will take you on your first game drive. A game drive is the highlight of any safari, giving you the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Africa and see wildlife in its natural surroundings. The game drives go mainly off-road, and our guide will bring you thrillingly close to the animals. Back at the lodge, a wonderful dinner will be served.

Get up early for an exciting morning and afternoon game drive in our pristine private nature reserve, where nearly 40 000 hectares of unrivaled diversity of life forms fuse with historical and archaeological sites. Enjoy the morning and afternoon game drives exploring, looking out for the legendary Big Five animals (buffalos, leopards, elephants, lions, and the famous black rhinos) and the bird life for which the park is famous, all while touring the different ecological zones with its unbelievable number of species of trees, fish, amphibians and reptiles.

Be sure you have your binoculars ready, and we will provide the rest! With an early start accompanied by your professional tour guide, you leave the lodge heading out on a leisurely drive with beautiful scenery and loads of excitement! After entering the bush, keeping our eyes peeled as anything can happen—the chase is on!

Balule Private Nature Reserve to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport

Greet the new day with a bush walk. With the professional knowledge of the armed guide, you will set off as your nostrils fill with the scent of crushing wild grass as you make your way through the bushes. This experience is interactive and educational, with the guide teaching you about tracking, animal behavior, and the bush's ecosystem. Smell and taste the wild herbs, learn traditional uses, and explore the smaller wonders of the bush. Back at the lodge, a delicious breakfast will be served. After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye, as your public transfer to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport will depart at around 9:40am. The time of arrival in Johannesburg is between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
