Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled morning flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will meet your professional English-speaking safari guide and depart by road to Tarangire National Park, one of the most wildlife-rich parks in northern Tanzania.
After entering the park, you will begin your first game drive, exploring Tarangire’s diverse landscapes, which include open savannah, riverine woodlands, and areas dominated by ancient baobab trees. The park is particularly famous for its large herds of elephants, which are frequently seen throughout the day, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of bird species.
You will continue game viewing until late afternoon, enjoying the abundance of wildlife and scenic surroundings. In the evening, you will leave the park and drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight at Martina’s Retreat.

The Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor. Often referred to as Africa’s natural “Noah’s Ark,” the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within a relatively small area.

During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to spot a wide range of animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, lions, and other big cats. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhinoceros, which is among the most difficult animals to encounter in the wild.

Around midday, you will stop for lunch at a scenic picnic site near the hippo pool, before continuing with further game viewing as you ascend back to the crater rim. After completing the safari, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your two-day fly-in safari adventure.
