Nairobi Airport/Hotel - Masai Village & Nature Walk (Masai Mara National Reserve)

​At 7:00 AM, pick up from your Nairobi hotel/airport to begin a scenic 5-6 hour drive to the Masai Mara, with stops at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Suswa Hills for panoramic views. Upon arrival at your budget camp, check in and enjoy lunch at Giraffe Hills Mara Camp. (You can upgrade to accommodation of your choice).

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Masai village to immerse yourself in their customs and way of life. Interact with locals, tour their homesteads, and experience their rich culture. Following this, embark on a guided nature walk around the camp with a Masai Moran, learning about local flora, animal tracks and traditional survival skills.​

As the sun sets, relax at the camp, taking in the stunning views of the Mara plains. After dinner, gather around the bonfire to listen to stories about Masai traditions and wildlife, deepening your cultural experience.

An optional afternoon game drive is available at $100 per person (Jan–June) and $200 (July–Dec).

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, we'll depart at 6:00 AM for a full-day game drive, exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Our search will focus on the Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo—while also keeping an eye out for cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. The early hours offer the best opportunities to observe predators in action.​

If your visit falls between July and October, there's a chance to witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River, navigating strong currents and evading crocodiles.​

We'll pause at a scenic spot within the park for a picnic lunch, allowing you to savor the breathtaking views and immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. Post-lunch, we'll continue our game drive, aiming to spot any wildlife we may have missed and capturing more photographs of the stunning landscapes.​

At 3:30 PM, we'll begin our journey back to Nairobi, with an estimated arrival at your hotel in the evening.
