Drive north across the equator, passing through changing landscapes and vibrant towns along the way. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time to check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive across the reserve’s rugged terrain. Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, leopards, and the rare Samburu Special Five—Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the African wilderness.

Your guide will help you track lions, cheetahs, elephants, and the unique wildlife species found only in northern Kenya, such as the gerenuk and Grevy’s zebra. Take a break for a picnic lunch by the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals often come to drink. In the afternoon, continue your adventure, visiting different areas of the reserve for new sightings and scenic views. As the sun sets, return to Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner, relaxation, and another peaceful night in the wild.
