Your safari begins with pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Travel north in your private 4×4 Land Cruiser, stopping at the equator along the way before continuing to Samburu National Reserve.

On arrival, check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge and settle in before your afternoon game drive. Explore the reserve’s dry plains and riverine areas, looking for elephants, big cats and the distinctive wildlife of northern Kenya. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve

Spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve on private game drives. Look for the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich—alongside elephants and other wildlife.

You can also choose an optional Samburu village visit to learn about local traditions and daily life. This activity costs extra, and your game-drive schedule can be adjusted to accommodate it. Return to Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner and your second night.

Continue your journey back to Nairobi, where your safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
