1-Day Hiking Kilimanjaro via Marangu Route

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Clients will be picked up from their starting point in Arusha (or Moshi) in the morning and we will proceed with a 2.5-3 hour drive to Marangu Gate. At the gate, our guides will take care of necessary paperwork before we start our hike.

Our route will lead us through the forest, which is home to blue and black-and-white colobus monkeys. The hike will consist mostly of a gradual incline today, and it will take us around 5 hours to reach Mandara Huts (8888 ft/2709 m), our first camp.

Once we arrive at Mandara Hut, we will enjoy a picnic lunch from a lunch box that we will provide. If time allows, we may take a hike to Maundi Crater, which offers a better view of Kilimanjaro's peak. After lunch, we will head back to Marangu gate, where we will meet our vehicle and return to the starting point in Arusha (or Moshi).
