When you arrive at the airport, we will be there waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it. After picking you up at the airport we will drive you to your hotel in Antananarivo and give you a special briefing about your upcoming journey and answer any questions you may have about your upcoming adventure.

Day 2

Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a city tour by visiting the market of Antananarivo and make a quick tour around the Queen’s Palace where you will have the chance to know more about Madagascar’s history. Then, you will head to Andasibe. On the way, you will enjoy seeing amazing landscapes and mountains as well as villages. You will stop for lunch en route. Once you arrive in Andasibe, you will check in at your hotel and get ready for a night walk to see the night active lemurs, frogs and chameleons.

Day 3

Visit of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

Visit of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

Today, you'll enjoy a full day on a Madagascar wildlife safari with a visit to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. The primary forests are densely covered with leans, moss, fern trees and more than a hundred orchid species. It also contains many species of lemurs, indri-indri the largest of all, diademed sifaka, common brown lemur, bamboo lemur and the sportive lemurs. Other common plants growing here are pandanus, ravinala palm tree, tambourissa, bamboos and some precious wood, like palisander and ebony. The extraordinary animal diversity is completed with another 15 mammal species, and more than 100 birds (many of them endemic, like the Madagascar yellow brow). In the afternoon, you will head to the Vakona Reserve to play with the lemurs and see many crocodiles as well as whistling ducks, kingfishers and other species of birds.

Day 4

Andasibe - Antsirabe

Andasibe - Antsirabe

After your breakfast, you will head to Antsirabe. In between, you will visit a reptile park, where you will see different species of chameleons, geckos, snakes, crocodiles, frogs and one of the largest butterflies of Madagascar as well as 2 different species of lemurs. This visit will take you about 2 hours and once done, you will continue driving to Antsirabe. On the way, you will drive across Antananarivo. You will leave and take National Road 7 (RN7) where you'll stop at a city called Ambatolampy for a quick visit to a pottery factory. You will have lunch and afterwards continue to Antsirabe. When you arrive, you will check into your hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 5

Antsirabe - Morondava

In the early morning, you will visit the Horn of Zebu Factory and miniature factories and then go to Morondava. On the way, you will enjoy seeing the amazing landscapes of the southwest and a lot of villages and villagers. You are going to see many zebus and some baobabs along the way a few kilometres before Morondava.

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Kirindy Forest to see several species of lemurs, birds, and plants including the famous fossa and some giant baobabs. You will drive through the amazing Baobabs Avenue. Here, you will stop for a few minutes to take some pictures and enjoy the scenery then continue your way towards Kirindy Reserve. This night you will go for a night walk to see several species of nocturnal lemurs / sleeping birds and some geckos.

Day 7

Kirindy Forest Reserve - Bekopaka

Kirindy Forest Reserve - Bekopaka

After breakfast, you will head to the Kirindy Forest to see several species of lemurs, the famous fossa and many other species of birds. After your visit, you will drive to Bekopaka the gateway of Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. On the way, you will be discovering different villages and cross 2 rivers on ferry boats. After the first ferry, you will have lunch and continue your journey to Bekopaka. A few minutes before arriving at your hotel, you will cross another river again on a ferry and then drive to your hotel.

Visiting Tsingy De Bemaraha National Park

Visiting Tsingy De Bemaraha National Park

You will spend this day with nature discovering the Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park. The Bemaraha Tsingy is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the biggest protected area by the Malagasy State. At the Tsingy, you will see the “cathedral”, the “viewpoint”, the hanging bridge and many of the indigenous animals that live here, such as the Sifaka lemur and common brown lemur. You will also see wild birds and the biggest carnivore in Madagascar called fossa if you are lucky. You will also see different kinds of indigenous plants such as the “palissandre”. Today you will have lunch in the park. After lunch, you will continue your excursion into the smaller section of the Tsingy or relax in your hotel.

Bekopaka - Morondava

Bekopaka - Morondava

On this day after breakfast, you will drive back south to the city of Morondava. On your way to Morondava, you will see the 'In Love Baobab,' which is the unique scene of two large baobab trees that have grown together intertwined. This tree symbolizes the union of two lovers and many couples come here to renew their vows. Afterwards, you will continue your drive to admire the most popular sunset in all of Madagascar the sunset at Baobab Alley. The baobabs located in this region have been around for eight hundred years and it is one of the most popular attractions in all of Madagascar. After your sunset experience at Baobab Alley, you will continue the drive to your final destination of the day Morondava. Upon arrival in Morondava, you will check into your hotel and settle in for the evening.

Antsirabe - Ranomafana National Park

You'll have breakfast at the hotel then get ready for a city tour of the city by visiting the zebu horn, half precious stone workshops then rickshaw riding. After the visit to the city, you will continue on route 7 heading to Ranomafana National Park. On the way, you will enjoy meeting different local people with their terraces of rice paddies. When you reach Ambositra, you will stop for a visit to an art factory made out of wood. After the visit, you will continue to Ranaomafana. This evening in Ranamafana, you will have a night walk to see lots of frogs, chameleons, night active lemurs and other animals.

You will have an early breakfast in the morning and visit the famous La Piscine Naturelle and Namazacanyon to discover interesting landscapes characterized by amazing rock formations and to learn about the Bara tribe’s culture. Ringtail lemurs and endemic birds may be encountered along the way. You can plan a picnic lunch in the park at the blue or black pool. Then, you'll continue the hike and in the afternoon drive back to the hotel.

You'll stop for a wildlife walk into Zombitse National Park to look for endemics including lemurs Verreauxsifaka, Hubbard’s sportive lemurs and reptiles such as chameleons. Baobabs and painted Mahafaly tombs are the highlights of this 5-hour road trip. On the way, you will visit the Arboretum of Antsokay.
