Climbing in darkness, guided by headlamps, we take breaks to catch our breath. The steep, icy terrain makes it an intense, unforgettable experience. At Stella Point, the sunrise reveals vibrant colors, rewarding our hard work. Uhuru Peak is our ultimate goal, filling us with overwhelming joy and accomplishment. The descent is challenging, punishing our knees. Trekking poles help. Lunch at Barafu, then continue to Mweka Hut campsite in a lush forest. Mist and rain add ambiance. In the evening, we share stories and memories over our final dinner. A well-deserved sleep awaits, knowing we've achieved something remarkable.
