Tarangire National Park - Game Drive
Pick up from the hotel at around 8:00 AM and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them.
The Tarangire River is the centrepiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Post the game drive in the evening, you will head back to your lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
Transfer to Lake Natron - Bird watch & Walking Tour
After finishing up a good breakfast, from 8am you will head towards Lake Natron. The drive to Lake Natron is about 4 hours from Tarangire. Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake located in the north of the NgoroNgoro district. Once you reach Lake Natron, you will check in to your hotel and have lunch.
After lunch you can proceed towards Lake Natron for a bird-watching (or Flamingo walk) activity, which will take about 4 hours and you might see flamingoes and other birds during this walk. After the activity, you will head towards your lodge, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you. Ensure you get some good rest and recharge yourself for another eventful day.
Serengeti National Park
You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the
numbers and variety of animals. Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra.
Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images.
Ngorongoro Crater - Drop off in Arusha
Your first sight of Ngorongoro Crater is likely not one you’ll easily forget. As seen from the crater rim, this natural bowl,
both vast and intimate, is one of Africa’s most beautiful natural features, stretching 19 green kilometers (12 miles) from one side to the other.
Down in the crater itself, you’ll explore an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by high crater walls. Here, lions and hyenas hunt wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle within sight of elephants and black rhinos. Your day spent here will reveal a surprising variety of habitats, from the Lereal Forest and salty Lake Magadi to the plains that rise and fall gently all across the valley floor. Drop off in Arusha.
