Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your 4-day Tanzania camping safari begins in Arusha with a morning departure toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. After entering the park, enjoy a full-day game drive through landscapes of golden savannah, ancient baobab trees and seasonal wetlands. Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds, but you may also encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and numerous bird species. With your experienced safari driver-guide, explore the park’s diverse habitats while searching for wildlife and enjoying excellent photographic opportunities. The Tarangire River attracts animals throughout the year, making it a key location for game viewing. In the late afternoon, leave the park and continue to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under the African sky.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey itself offers beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley and traditional Maasai communities. Enter the Serengeti and begin your game drive as you continue toward the central Seronera area, renowned for its abundant resident wildlife. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five, including lions, leopards and elephants, as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and large herds of wildebeest. Depending on the season, you may also witness parts of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to Dik Dik Public Campsite, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Fall asleep to the sounds of the African wilderness surrounding your campsite.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake early for breakfast and enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing, when many predators are active and animals gather around water sources. Continue your journey through the Serengeti plains, with opportunities to spot wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, buffaloes and big cats along the way. As you approach the Ngorongoro highlands, the scenery changes dramatically from open savannah to lush forest and volcanic landscapes. Arrive at Simba A Public Campsite, located near the Ngorongoro Crater, and settle into camp. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening at the campsite while preparing for the following day’s crater adventure.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable morning game drive. Often described as one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations, the crater provides excellent opportunities to see a remarkable concentration of wildlife within its volcanic walls. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles and other species across the crater floor. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before beginning the ascent and continuing your journey back to Arusha. The route offers scenic views of the Ngorongoro highlands and surrounding Tanzanian countryside. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 4-day Tanzania camping safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
