Flight Zanzibar – Arusha Airport 11:30 - 12:30. Transfer to Tarangire National Park. You’ll be picked up from your Zanzibar accommodations and taken to Zanzibar Airport for your flight across to Arusha. Upon arrival in Tanzania’s safari capital, you’ll be met by your Moonlight Tours Expedition driver and whisked away to Tarangire National Park. Considered to be Tanzania’s most underrated park, Tarangire is a fascinating landscape of baobab trees, large elephant herds (the largest in Tanzania), baboons, buffalo, lions, impala, giraffes, zebras, and more. After your afternoon game drive and picnic lunch, you’ll be taken to your overnight accommodations.

Tarangire National Park – Arusha – Zanzibar

After breakfast, we will start with your morning game drive. Tarangire is a particularly enchanting prospect for bird-watchers, with a massive 550 species of bird calling the park home. These range from the sizable ostrich and Kori bustard all the way down to tiny weavers and warblers. Predators such as the lion and leopard also call the park home, and lucky visitors might get to see these ferocious hunters in action as the dry season forces herbivores to move closer and closer to the Tarangire River. After taking a delicious lunch, we'll drive back to Arusha to ensure you make your onward flight. Flight Arusha - Zanzibar 16:35 – 17:35.
