2-Day Mikumi Safari – from Dar Es Salaam by Train

Dar - Mikumi (Game Drive)

You will be picked up from your hotel very early at 04:30 or airport on arrival and be transferred to the train station to catch the 06:00 train to Morogoro. Upon arrival, you will meet your safari driver-guide and continue by road to Mikumi National Park, a drive of about two hours.

After entering the park, you will begin your first game drive, exploring the rich wildlife areas where elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and many antelope species are commonly seen. The game drive continues until the evening, allowing you to enjoy the changing light and scenery of the savannah. Later, you will drive to your camp for dinner and an overnight!

Mikumi (Game Drive) - Dar

After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive, the best time to spot predators and active wildlife. You will then return to the camp for lunch and some rest before continuing with an afternoon game drive in a different area of the park.

In the afternoon, you will exit the park and drive back to Morogoro. Upon arrival, you will board the 16:45 train back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening and marking the end of your safari experience. Drop off will be at the airport or hotel as per schedule!
