Morning after early breakfast leave Addis and drive to Guassa Community conservation area about 150km North of Addis. On arrival check in to the lodge then take a short trek to discover the breathtaking views of the Guassa plateau, located along one of the significant historic routes of Ethiopia, filled with endemic mammals. Here we have a chance of sighting the endemic Ethiopian wolf. The Ethiopian wolf is the only true wolf species in Africa and is legally protected. With a total world population of less than 500 individuals surviving in mountain tops, it is one of the most endangered mammal species in the world. You will spend your overnight at Guassa Community Lodge.

After breakfast, Explore Guassa plateau through a spectacular landscape of moorland where one can experience the vast highland flora, striking bird species like the Lammergeyer or bearded vulture and wildlife including the endemic Ethiopian Wolf and Gelada Baboon. Other important species in the area include the gelada baboon. The gelada is the only surviving member of a once widespread genusTheropithecus. These baboons are the only grazing primates in the world. The Guassa population of gelada has doubled, and is now the second highest population in Ethiopia next to the Simien Mountain National Park.

Day 3

Drive Back to Addis

Drive Back to Addis

Morning after breakfast take some time around for more chance of wildlife sightings and visit to a village built in a traditional way, with distinctive two-storey stone houses covered with thatch. Wool carpets and blankets woven there are considered the best in the entire Ethiopia. Then drive back to Addis Ababa.
