Day 1

Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You will depart from Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in the Laikipia county. You’ll arrive at the conservancy in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive in this private sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. You will spot wildlife such as elephants, rhinos, lions and giraffes. You will also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and learn about the conservation efforts. Return to your hotel or camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru

You will leave Ol Pejeta after breakfast and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley, making a brief stop at the Thompson Falls. After that, proceed to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. This will be followed by an afternoon game drive in the park, which is known for its large population of flamingos and other bird species visiting the lake. You can expect to spot animals like buffalo, zebra, black and white rhinos, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, leopard, baboon and Rothschild’s giraffe.

You will depart from Lake Nakuru after breakfast and head towards Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge well in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive. The Mara is famous for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos and rhinos). You can also witness the stunning Masai Mara sunset as you return to your accommodation for dinner.

You will spend the whole day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. After breakfast, embark on early morning and late afternoon game drives when the animals are most active. The game drives are flexible, with an option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the full day in the park. You will be privileged to witness the great migration if you visit between July and October, when millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River.

At an extra cost, you may visit the local Maasai village to experience their lifestyle or the Maasai market, where you can collect souvenirs.
