3-Day Mount Meru Trekking Adventure

Arusha - Momella Gate

You will drive one hour between Arusha and the Momella Gate and then begin your 10km, 1000m ascent. Your hike today will take about 4-5 hours. After reaching an altitude of 2516m your guide will give you some time to explore the wildlife in the area. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Mariakamba Hut.

Accommodations on the day of your arrival can be arranged by the company at an extra cost.

Mariakamba Hut - Saddle Hut

Today you will hike 4km for two-to-three hours and ascend 1050m for a total altitude of 3566m. You will acclimatise to the high altitude and experience some of the mountain’s chilly weather. Your porter-guide will be with you the whole way helping to make sure you achieve your dream of reading the summit the next day. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Saddle Hut.

Meru Summit - Saddle Hut - Momella Gate

Today you will hike six-to-eight hours for 14km and descend 3050m as you make your way to the Meru Summit and back down to the Momella Gate. You will drive back to Arusha and check-in at the Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel, where you will eat dinner and spend the night before your flight back home.
