When you get to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and finish everything you need to do there, our safari guide will meet you. They will take you to your hotel so you can rest or stay there overnight. You can choose to go to the shopping malls depending on what time you arrive.

Day 2

Fly to Kidepo National Park

Fly to Kidepo National Park

Today, you will be taken to Kajjansi Airstrip and then fly to Kidepo National Park. Kidepo Valley National Park is a big park in northeast Uganda that is 1,442 square kilometers in size. It is located in a tough and dry area between Sudan and Kenya, about 700 kilometers away from Kampala. The park includes the Kidepo and Narus Rivers' main valley systems. Most of the park has open areas with trees. The two valleys have different amounts of rainfall, which causes the plants and animals living there to be different. Designated as a national park in 1962, it has a lot of large animals and is home to more than 77 types of mammals, as well as about 475 types of birds. Some people say that Kidepo National Park in Uganda is very remote, but those who travel there believe it is also the most beautiful. Kidepo is considered one of the best natural areas in Africa. You will go on a drive through the park and sit on different rocks in the valley.

Day 3

Game Drive, Nature walk & Community Visit

Game Drive, Nature walk & Community Visit

After you eat your morning meal, you will take a stroll outside in the park to enjoy the nature. With the guide's assistance, you will be able to see lions, elephants, leopards, bush duikers, jackals, bushbucks, buffalos, and more animals. After you eat lunch, you will go on another car ride to look for animals in the park. This time, you will see some animals that you haven't seen before during the other car rides. Kidepo National Park is a large grassy area with lots of animals like buffalo, warthog, hartebeest, lion, leopard, cheetah, and many types of birds. There are also other animals like jackals, antelope, klipspringers, and more. The park is proud to have the largest number of unique birds found only in Uganda. These birds include the ostrich, Kori bustard, vultures, and pygmy, among others. Afterwards, you can go back to your lodge and take a break. If you have enough time, you can visit the Karimojong community in northeastern Uganda.

Day 4

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After you eat your morning meal, you will travel by car to Murchison Falls National Park, located in the northwestern area of Uganda. Murchison Falls National Park is located by Lake Albert, in the northwest part of Uganda. The area is famous for a waterfall called Murchison Falls. The waterfall is formed when the Victoria Nile River flows through a small opening and drops down a large distance. The park has elephants and hippos as its wildlife. In the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest, there are also chimpanzees. The Lake Albert Delta is a place where you can find rare shoebill storks. The park is separated by the famous River Nile into two parts - the North side and the South side. The best place to go on a game drive is the Northern bank because there are a lot of animals there, like antelope, in the Savannah plains. Go back to your cabin and stay there for the night.

Day 5

Game Drive and Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the falls

Today, you will go on a morning car ride to see animals in the park. Murchison Falls has many different types of animals such as buffaloes, antelopes, lions, giraffes, and hyenas. There are also many different kinds of birds, over 451 species.

In the afternoon, you will go on a fun boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls, which gives the park its name. You will see many hippos and crocodiles by the river. Other animals like elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, kobs, and sometimes giraffes gather by the river to drink water. You will also see different types of birds like herons, African fish eagles, kingfishers, and African skimmers. Afterwards, you will walk up to the highest part of the waterfall where the Nile passes through a narrow space of 7 meters. The bottom of the Nile is also nearby. Have fun looking at these amazing sights. Go back to the lodge and stay there for the night.

Day 6

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After you eat breakfast, you will go in a car to Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park is located in the western part of Uganda. It is a beautiful tropical forest that covers about 795km. The highest point in the park is 1590m above sea level. It is one of the best places in Uganda to visit and enjoy. The park has 70 types of mammals that live there. The most well-known are the 13 kinds of primates, like chimpanzees. It also has more than 375 kinds of birds. During your journey, you will see many places where tea is grown. You will arrive later in the afternoon and make a brief stop in Fort Portal town. After that, you will continue to your place to stay for the night. If you come at different times, you can either go see the lakes near the crater or you can go visit the Kings Palace in Fort Portal. If not, you can just relax at the lodge.

Before we start looking for chimpanzees, let's talk about what you should and shouldn't do while trekking. Guided by a skilled ranger, trekking with chimpanzees can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees are. As you walk through the forest, you can see different birds and monkeys like the black and white colobus, grey cheeked Mangabey, and golden monkeys. There are also many different types of trees. After you finish eating, you can drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and have a fun ride while looking for animals. The park in Uganda is called Queen Elizabeth National Park, named after the Queen of England. It is a very popular place for tourists to visit. The park is big and goes from the mountains of Rwenzori in the north to the river in the south. It has different types of places like grasslands, wetlands, and forests. Come to the lodge later in the day and stay overnight.

Today, you will go on a early morning trip in the park to see animals. There are more than 100 different types of mammals in the park, such as lions, hyenas, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, the rare giant forest hog, and leopards. The Primates group includes Chimpanzees, Blue Monkeys, Black faced Red Colobus Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, and Olive Baboons. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on Kazinga Channel. You can feel the cool air from the river and see many different animals and plants during the cruise. Many wild animals like hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and antelopes are attracted to the shores of this channel. This makes the channel a wonderful place that many visitors come to see on a wildlife safari in Uganda. The boat trip lasts for around 2-3 hours and is a really amazing experience. You can see lots of different African animals, birds, and reptiles while cruising along the channel.

After eating breakfast in the morning, you will leave for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. During your journey, you will have a game drive in Ishasha sector, which is in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In this area, lions have a unique behavior of climbing trees, especially Fig trees, and it is one of the few places in Africa where you can see lions hunting other animals like Uganda Kobs and Topi. After that, we will go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. It is the home of endangered mountain gorillas and is located on the edge of the Rift Valley. The hillsides of Uganda are covered in mist and there is a very old rainforest there. The rainforest is very diverse with a lot of different plants, almost 400 different species. The rainforest has been around for over 25,000 years. This famous forest keeps around 400 mountain gorillas safe.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After eating breakfast in the morning, you will go to the park office and meet knowledgeable local ranger guides and trackers who will explain the rules for gorilla trekking. Afterwards, go to the forest with a knowledgeable guide to search for gorillas. The guide will share cool facts about plants and animals, and also about how gorillas live. Hiking to see the Mountain Gorilla is a really exciting wildlife adventure. Even though the hike is tough on your body, the beauty of the forest and the scenery around it make the experience totally worth it. The hike will last for 2 to 6 hours, but it is definitely worth it and will be an incredible experience. Instead of gorilla trekking, you can choose to go on a guided walk through the forest in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Taking a walk in the Bwindi forest gives a special feeling of being in a untouched, natural forest. You can also hear lovely bird songs and even see wild animals up close.

After you eat breakfast, you will go to the Airstrip and take a flight back to Entebbe. As you go, you will see the pretty view from above of southwestern Uganda, with hills, lots of plants, and terraces. Afterwards, you will reach the airport and board your flight to return home.
