Day 2

Transfer to Murchison National Park Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison National Park Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After you eat breakfast, you will begin your tour. You will be driving through Kampala and then going to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you can take a walk to see the Southern White Rhinos that have been brought back to Uganda. In the afternoon, you will go to Murchison Falls National Park, which is Uganda's largest national park.

Day 3

After you eat breakfast, you will go on a Game drive. This is an really nice journey through the flat grassy area, with lots of palm trees, until you reach Lake Albert where the Albert Nile river goes upwards. You will go for a game drive in the African savanna to look for lots of animals and birds. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the Nile River to Murchison Falls. This is where the park gets its name. You can hike to the top of the falls and see the beautiful sight of the Nile River flowing through a small gap. At the bottom, you can also see large Nile crocodiles sunbathing.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Today, you will be driving from the city of Fort Portal to Kibale National Park. As you go, you'll see lots of tea farms and you can stop to talk to the people picking tea and take some pictures. In the evening, when you come to your place to stay, you will have gone through Fort Portal town.

After you eat breakfast, you will go to look for chimpanzees and have a great time in the forest. Kibale National Park in Uganda is a really big area of land, about 795 square kilometers, that has a really pretty and diverse tropical forest. This place is where you can find 13 different types of animals called primates, which includes chimpanzees. The park reaches its highest point at 1590 meters above the level of the sea. After eating lunch, you will go to Queen Elisabeth National Park and have a fun drive through the park. This game reserve in Uganda is named after the Queen of England. It is the most popular and beautiful game reserve in the country.

You will get up early in the morning to go on a game drive. There are more than 100 types of animals in this park, such as lions, hippos, buffalo, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and a big pig called the giant forest hog. The primates are a group of animals that includes chimps, black and white Colobus monkeys, blue, black-faced red Colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and olive baboons. After that, you will go back to the lodge. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat trip on Kazinga Channel.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will leave in the morning to go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. During your journey, you will get the opportunity to go on a game drive in Ishasha Sector, where you can see lions that climb trees. After that, you will go to where the mountain gorillas live in the forests of Uganda's parks. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is famous for tracking gorillas, but it also protects elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys, and many kinds of small antelopes. Additionally, it provides a home for 23 bird species that can only be found in the Albertine region.

This morning, you need to wake up early and prepare for the gorilla trekking that is happening soon. Hiking with the mountain gorillas is one of the most thrilling nature experiences in the world. The hike will last from 2 to 6 hours, but it is definitely worth it. An experienced ranger will guide you and share interesting information about plants, animals, and how gorillas live. Afterward, you will go by car to Lake Bunyonyi where you will stay next.
