Tarangire National Park
After a safari briefing in the morning and an approximate 2-hour drive, you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park. Giant baobab trees, bush savannah, and seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places to view elephants up close. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to Eileens Trees Inn where you will overnight.

Karatu - Central Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you journey toward the legendary Serengeti. The route ascends the rugged Rift Valley before opening into the vast golden plains of this iconic park. Established in 1951, Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest national park and the core of a unique, wildlife-rich ecosystem. Together with Kenya’s Maasai Mara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, it forms the stage for the world’s largest terrestrial animal migration. Each year, over 1.4 million wildebeest, 300,000 gazelles, 200,000 zebras, and thousands of topis follow the rains in search of greener pastures. With nearly three million large mammals, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hyenas, Serengeti boasts unmatched biodiversity. It's also home to one of Africa’s densest populations of big cats—about 3,000 lions, 300 cheetahs, and up to 700 elusive leopards. After your exhilarating game drive, you'll unwind at Tukaone Tented Camp, nestled in the heart of the Great Serengeti.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha/JRO
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha/JRO
Before breakfast you can enjoy the fantastic view over the Ngorongoro crater in good weather. After breakfast it goes on partly adventurous roads about 600 meters downward into the crater. The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometers and is the home of a great animal world. Nearly all the biodiversity of the East African savannah has gathered here, only giraffes and a few other animal species for which the rock faces are too steep do not live in the crater. Depending on the season, 15,000 to 25,000 animals are gathering here, thereof more than two thirds buffaloes, gnus, zebras and gazelles.
This large number of grazers also explains why in the crater the largest density of predators in Africa can be found. Beside other predators more than 100 lions live here in several prides. The chances of watching the "Big Five" lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard within just a few hours are here particularly good. In the afternoon it goes up and drive back to Arusha/Airport.
