1-Day Kilimanjaro Foothills Hike Shimbwe to Materuni

• A transfer from the airport can be arranged for an extra cost.

We will pick you from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Shimbwe village which is located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The village is occupied by Chagga tribe, one among the famous tribes in Tanzania. The hike will start from Shimbwe to Materuni village via Materuni waterfall. The hike will take two hours to reach at Materuni waterfall. The trails will lead us to the green vegetation and hills with river streams that sing for you motivating to keep on exploring the beauty of nature. At Materuni waterfall you will get a chance to swim then continue the hike to Materuni village now it will be hiking up to Mama Agnes Home for lunch, coffee making demonstration and then relaxing and enjoying the great view of Mount Kilimanjaro on blue sky days. After lunch and coffee tour you can decide to hike to the border of Kilimanjaro which is about 20 minutes away then we drive back to Moshi with good memories of the tour. On the tour please bring good hiking shoes, rain jacket and swim cloths.
