Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve

From the airport or hotel in Johannesburg, your driver will take you northwest on the Platinum Highway. You'll have stopovers along the way to refuel. When you arrive at Madikwe Game Reserve in the early afternoon, you will be met and given a tour of Motswiri Private Safari Lodge. A vantage point for watching the game is waiting for you in the hide. After swimming to cool down, you may enjoy savoury and sweet treats for afternoon tea. Grab your cameras for the local ranger-led nighttime wildlife excursion.

Madikwe is the home of the magnificent Big Five. Only Kruger National Park has more elephants. After seeing the spectacular splendour of an African sunset, you will get the opportunity to identify nocturnal species by observing animals under spotlights. Supper will be served in the lodge where you will be staying. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially when provided in a boma over a campfire. Visit the hide for wildlife watching or unwind in your comfortable lodgings.

Madikwe Game Reserve

You'll wake up before dawn, have some tea or coffee, and eat a light breakfast before heading out on a game drive. The reserve's wildlife is often more active in the morning when temperatures are cooler and the lighting is better for photography. After returning to the lodge for a full breakfast or lunch, you may spend your afternoon relaxing by the pool or making use of the venue's other amenities. After yet another excellent meal, you'll go on a wildlife-viewing drive that may last late into the evening. Your day will undoubtedly conclude with a great meal and some peaceful thoughts by the campfire as you think about everything you've encountered.

Madikwe Game Reserve to Johannesburg

Even though this will be your final early morning game drive which will start at the crack of dawn, we hope that it will leave you with many pleasant memories.
