Arrival and Transfer to Musanze

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our dedicated team of Tanzania Roadside Expeditions will be at the airport to meet and assist, finish up with all airport protocols, and drive you to Musanze, home of the mountain gorilla. On your way to Musanze, you will get a first glance at the beautiful Rwandan landscapes. Upon arrival and check-in at the lodge, you can enjoy the property amenities, have dinner, and spend the rest of the evening leisurely.

Gorrila Tracking at Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the home of the mountain gorillas, the Volcano National Park. Upon arrival at the headquarters (Kinigi), you will meet your guides for the day and complete the necessary park formalities. Finally! It is time to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience—tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them, you are allowed to spend an hour watching them go about their daily activities.

Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon cultural experience at Gorilla Guardians, formerly Iby’iwacu Culture Village Center. This place is fun, with lots of Rwandan history and ancient stories. Feel free to take part in the traditional dances. After an exciting day, return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Tracking Golden Monkeys and Departure

After breakfast, you will proceed to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park, where you will meet the guides who will accompany you during the golden monkey tracking activity.

After completing the tracking activity, we return to the lodge for a quick meal before checking out. You will be transferred back to Kigali city and have time for last-minute souvenir shopping at the craft shops. Depending on your flight details, we will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight.
