Your arrival will be at Ivato Airport. You will be welcomed at the airport with our representative and transferred to your hotel situated near the airport. Welcome to Antananarivo! Antananarivo is the capital city of Madagascar and the largest city on this big island in the Indian Ocean.

Day 2

Antananarivo - Miandrivazo

Antananarivo - Miandrivazo

Have breakfast, then depart to Miandrivazo. Pass in the city of Ambatolampy where the pot workshop and foundry is located. Visit it and then return. Then continue to Antsirabe, an elegant city. Continue till Miandrivazo, said to be the hottest place in Madagascar and a typical lowland Malagasy community.

Day 3

Miandrivazo - Kirindy

Miandrivazo - Kirindy

Drive from Miandrivazo to Morondava westward to reach the Sakalava people and their famous baobab tree. We will meet fewer and fewer villages. Upon arrival in Morondava, the road to Kirindy is located on the RN8A national road, connecting Morondava to Belo-sur-Tsiribihina between the localities of Beroboka south to the North and Marofandilia to the South. Kirindy Forest is renowned for being the only place in the world where Fosa (Cryptoprocta ferox), the largest carnivore in Madagascar, can be observed in its natural habitat. Nocturnal visits of the reserve are allowed.

Day 4

Kirindy - Bekopaka

Kirindy - Bekopaka

After breakfast, hit the road to Bekopaka. The track to the Tsingy of Bemaraha is uncomfortable but it’s the one road to reach this park. It makes the trip adventurous. We first get to Tsimafana where we cross the Belo sur Tsiribihina river by ferry. At the end of the afternoon, arrive at Bekopaka.

Visit of Tsingy of Bemaraha

Visit of Tsingy of Bemaraha

Start the day with a visit to the Tsingy de Bemaraha, a spectacular mineral forest listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ‘tsingy’ limestone peaks are one of the most impressive landscapes in Madagascar, an intricate network of rifts, crevasses, and limestone blocks carved into sharp needles. Spend the afternoon free at leisure to explore on your own. You may wish to join an optional trip to visit the little Tsingy, which includes a pirogue ride up the river gorge to see the subterranean caves and other tombs of Sakalava.

Bekopaka - Morondava

Bekopaka - Morondava

After the breakfast, drive back to Morondava. We'll again cross the Belo sur Tsiribihina River.
In the evening, we'll arrive at the Alley of Baobab. We will be there at the right time, when the sun is low, raking light, and smooth trunks reflect the orange rays of the sun. It’s an ideal moment to take photographs of the sunset. Continue till Morondava.

Morondava - Antsirabe

Morondava - Antsirabe

Enjoy sunrise at Baobab Alley, another time to admire this site. Have a quick city tour of Morondava. It was the centre of the Sakalava kingdom. Drive back to Antsirabe. We will meet fewer and fewer villages. Arrival in Antsirabe is at the end of the afternoon. We'll then transfer to your hotel.

Antsirabe - Antananarivo

Have breakfast, then enjoy a city tour by Rickshaw and workshop tours to visit local handcrafts and products including jewellery made from zebu horn, and toys crafted from old tin cans. Drive back to Antananarivo. Stop and visit Ambatolampy, a village of metalwork. Cast aluminium souvenirs are often for sale along the main road. After the visit, continue to Tana. On your arrival, transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, you will take the National 2 Road toward Tamatave, a lush landscape. You will stop at Madagascar Exotic, a farm for breeding endemic butterflies, chameleons, and reptiles threatened by anthropogenic action (bushfires, deforestation). In the evening, you will have a nocturnal visit with a local guide.

Visit of Andasibe National Park

You will visit the National Park of Andasibe, the site of conservation of the Indri-Indri, the largest of the lemurs. Other animal species can be seen, including 11 other lemurs, chameleons, and birds. The flora is left with several varieties of orchids, rosewood, and medicinal plants. In the afternoon, you will visit Vakona Private Reserve.

Nosy be - Nosy Komba & Tanikely

Nosy be - Nosy Komba & Tanikely

This tour will lead you to the first tourist destination of Madagascar: Nosy Tanikely Marine Park and Nosy Komba. A small dream island which is also a natural reserve, Nosy Komba is a postcard beach with crystal water and a forest behind it. You can snorkel around and there are some nice fish like dolphins, sharks, and whales. The highlights include a puffer fish and 3 turtle species. Beautiful beaches and a lovely climb up to the lighthouse to see the lemurs are well worth it. As for Nosy Komba, it is famous for the black lemur which lives with the population in lush vegetation. The embroidery napkins are worth a visit as well at the main village of Ambarovato.

Nosy be - Nosy Iranja

Nosy be - Nosy Iranja

Nosy Iranja is the best place if you want to see beautiful, quiet, sea turtles laying eggs every day or come running to the sea after birth. Walk through the forest (which is actually a very nice garden) and arrive at a deserted beach. If you want to go fishing, go around the island of Iranja Kely and Iranja Be joined by a white sandbar.
