Meet your driver in Dar es Salaam at the airport or city hotel, then transfer to the SGR station for your Train departing between06:00hrs - 08:00hrs (subject to availability), arriving in Morogoro at 07:40hrs - 09:25hrs (based on departure timings. Meet and Greet with your transfer driver and proceed to Mikumi National Park where you will be warmly welcomed by your Private Safari Driver Guide and embark on a 4WD Safari Landcruiser for an exhilarating afternoon game drive that stretches into the early evening. Spanning over 3,200 km², Mikumi is Tanzania’s accessible wild gem, with endless savannahs, acacia woodlands, and dramatic mountain backdrops. Witness elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, hippos, and countless bird species in their natural habitat. After an early breakfast, proceed to experience an authentic Maasai Boma Cultural Village where you will experience traditional African culture and community life, learning about tradition, local food, and even traditional medicine, and celebrations with famous Maasai cultural dances. Thereafter set out on a thrilling morning game drive—the best time to witness wildlife at its most active. Explore the vast Mkata floodplain, where lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and countless bird species roam freely. The soft morning light creates perfect conditions for stunning wildlife photography and unforgettable safari moments. After the drive and a hearty lunch in the Bush, transfer to Morogoro SGR station for your evening train back to Dar es Salaam (timing TBA). Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your city hotel, bringing an exhilarating safari adventure to a memorable close.
