Today your guide will collect you from your accommodation at 10:00 am and head on the road to Kalahari Desert. You will arrive in time for lunch. After you settle in you will be at your leisure. You will meet with your local guide at the lobby and start with your afternoon bushmen walk. You will return and freshen up for your dinner and the rest of the day is at your siesta.

Day 2

Today you will head the road to one of the famous highlights of Namibia, Namib Naukluft National Park. Lunch is had en route. You will arrive at The Elegant Desert Lodge in the midafternoon where you will stay for two nights whilst you explore the remarkable sights of the Namib Desert with your guide. If there is still time today, your guide will take you to visit Sesriem Canyon, a nearby geological attraction. You will freshen up for your dinner and the rest for the night.

Day 3

This morning after an early wake-up call you will meet at the lobby where you will have coffee/tea and rusk. You will set off for the Sossusvlei excursion on the road to Namib Naukluft Park. The earlier you leave to join the queue to the entrance for Sossusvlei the better. You stand the chance to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft, and the shadows accentuate the towering shapes and curves of the dunes. You'll have the most awesome experience of climbing the highest dune called Big Daddy at Sossusvlei. Once you explore Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, and surrounding dune fields, you will enjoy a relaxed picnic brunch in the shade of a camelthorn tree. You will return to the lodge in the early afternoon in time for late lunch. The late afternoon can be spent visiting Sesriem Canyon afterward if you haven’t visited the previous day. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure.

The attractive drive today takes you northwest through the awesome and ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Ghaub and Kuiseb Canyon via Kuiseb pass. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay and then continue north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal breeze for your next two nights. This afternoon you can explore the town along the waterfront on foot, before the dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 5

Swakopmund - Walvisbay - Swakopmund

Swakopmund - Walvisbay - Swakopmund

This morning your guide will drive you to Walvisbay after your early breathtaking breakfast for a half day's excitement activity. You need to be there at the waterfront at 7:30 a.m. to meet your guide for Sandwich Harbour to ride in a 4x4 on a breathtaking Sandwich Harbour. We will take you in our 4x4 vehicle on a scenic drive along the Walvis Bay Lagoon and the salt mines. You will return to the waterfront to meet with your guide and drive back to Swakopmund. Lunch can be had either at Walvisbay or at Swakopmund. You and your guide will decide. The rest of the afternoon can be spent at your leisure or exploring Swakopmund on foot. You will return and freshen up for your dinner and you can have your dinner at a restaurant. You and your guide can discuss this.

Day 6

Swakopmund to Damaraland

Swakopmund to Damaraland

Today, you will continue with your safari to the north and east into the diverse Damaraland while appreciating the marvelous scenery of the area. Lunch is had en route. You will pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg which peaks at 2,573 m above sea level, and take time to view the game and absorb the vastness of the scenery along the way. You will enjoy the spectacular landscape of Damaraland and the stunning views. You will arrive at the lodge which is built amongst the massive granite boulders. You will arrive late afternoon and your guide will take you to visit the nearby attractions and geological sites of the pre-historic Twyfelfontein rock engravings (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Day 7

Damaraland

Damaraland

After an early breakfast, you will drive to an exciting 4x4 excursion along the ephemeral Aba Huab and Huab River valleys to explore this remarkable region and search for game, including the elusive desert-adapted elephants if they are in the area, which depends on the season. Damaraland is home to a variety of desert-adapted wildlife and hidden desert treasures. As the elephants are mostly active in the mornings you will normally have the best chance to see them. You will return to the lodge in time for lunch and the afternoon is spent at your leisure. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Damara Living Museum to learn about the Damara culture and return to freshen up for your dinner. After a long day, the night is spent on your siesta.

You will return to Opuwo Country Lodge to freshen up and to have your dinner. The rest of the night is spent on your siesta after the long day.

After breakfast, you will head on the road towards Etosha National Park. You will enter through the Galton Gate on the western side of the park. You will arrive in time for a light lunch. As you enter the park you might spot some game en route. After checking in, you will meet with your guide at the main area and will be off in your private vehicle to view the game on the afternoon game drive and also visit one of the famous waterholes. If you are lucky you will spot the predators but otherwise you will see zebras, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and many different species of antelope. You will freshen up before your dinner. After dinner, you can still relax in the main area watching the game that comes and goes and the rest of the night is on your siesta.
