Start early in the morning from Nairobi for Maasai Mara National Reserve(about 5hrs drive). Upon arrival in Maasai Mara sometime in the afternoon, check in at your chosen lodge before a hefty lunch is served.
Later on embark on your first game drive in Maasai Mara. The afternoon drive is an excellent opportunity to spot wildlife, including the Big Five and various other species. Return to your lodge or camp in the late afternoon. You can relax and freshen up before dinner.

Start your day with an early morning game drive in Maasai Mara to maximize wildlife sightings, especially predators on the hunt. Return to your lodge or camp for breakfast. Check out of your accommodation in Maasai Mara. Depart for Lake Naivasha(approximately a 4-5 hour drive from Maasai Mara). Arrive in Lake Naivasha in the late afternoon.
After checking in at your chosen accommodation, consider taking a boat safari on Lake Naivasha. This allows you to spot birdlife and possibly hippos and other aquatic creatures.
