Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park - Afternoon Game Drive

Pick-up from the agreed point in Dar es Salaam at 07:00 hrs, followed by a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours to Nyerere National Park, passing through countryside, valleys, and small towns. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch, followed by a short time to relax. In the late afternoon, at around 16:00 hrs, depart for a boat safari along the Rufiji River. During this two-hour excursion, take in the beautiful scenery and spot wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your day after breakfast with a full-day safari in Nyerere National Park. Explore its vast wilderness of savannah, miombo woodlands, and riverine forests in a 4x4 vehicle with an expert guide. Spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and the famous African wild dogs, along with diverse birdlife. Enjoy a short bush break and a scenic picnic lunch within the park. In the afternoon, continue game viewing before heading for a 2-hour boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you may see hippos, crocodiles, and animals gathering along the banks. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay, concluding a memorable safari day.

Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam (Sunrise Walking Safari)

Early morning offers the coolest and most refreshing time of day. Begin with a guided walking safari in Selous Game Reserve after tea or coffee. Accompanied by an expert ranger, explore the bush on foot, focusing on tracks, plants, birdlife, and the finer details of the ecosystem. This 2-hour walk (up to 3 km) offers a unique, close-to-nature experience rather than approaching large animals. Return to the camp for breakfast, then depart with a packed lunch for your journey back to Dar es Salaam, arriving early afternoon. Drop-off at hotel or airport marks the end of your safari.
