Day 1

Welcome, Trip Briefing, Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara, and Afternoon Game Drive

You will be picked up in the early morning at 5:30 am from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi by our well-experienced driver guide. He will welcome you and provide you with a short briefing on your safari before you start the journey to Masai Mara. You will be arriving in Maasai Mara at 11:30 am and begin your game drive. Our guide will drive to the lodge where you'll drop off your bags and pick lunch. You'll return to the park and continue your game drives. You might encounter the Big Five. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner, check-in, and an overnight stay.
Lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay will be at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.

Day 2

Optional Maasai Village Visit and Trip to Nairobi

The safari guide checks you out of the lodge after breakfast. You'll depart with your bags and head to the Maasai villages. This is the final stop of your 2-day Masai Mara safari. Songs, dances, colorful beadwork! Time spent with the Maasai people introduces you to the unique, beautiful, and somewhat surprising way of life of this nomadic warrior community. Meeting you at the gate is a group of dancing mamas and boys who whisk you away toward their semi-permanent huts made from cow dung, urine, sticks, and mud. They call these huts manyattas, and from these manyattas, you get to learn how to light a fire from sticks. You will also meet Maasai herdsmen and learn how they co-exist with the wildlife. You will embark from Masai Mara to Nairobi after the Maasai village visit. You will be in Nairobi by 2:00 pm. We will then drop you at your selected hotels in Nairobi city, Nairobi airport, or your residence and bid you goodbye.
