Day 1

Diani/Mombasa/Watamu to Tsavo East National Park

In the early morning, we pick you up at 06h30 from your beach hotel and drive with a 4x4 Land Cruiser to Tsavo East National Park (3 to 4 hours). We arrive in time for a morning game drive with a chance to spot "red" elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, gazelles, waterbucks, leopards, zebras, and different bird species. We check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch. We relax until 15h30 and proceed for more game viewing. At 18h30, we return for dinner and overnight at Satao Safari Camp.

Day 2

Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

Early in the morning, you have breakfast and an en-route game-viewing drive as you exit Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo West is a more popular destination on account of its magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife, good road system, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential, and guided walks along the Tsavo River.

You arrive in time for lunch and check in at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. After a short rest, enjoy watching the wildlife at the waterhole and the view of Mt Kilimanjaro from the lodge before you go for the afternoon game drive. You have a good chance to see rhinos and leopards in this park. Return for dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge (rooms with a view!).

Day 3

You have an early start with a cup of coffee and then proceed for morning game viewing before you return for breakfast (which takes an hour). After breakfast, you exit the park with a game-viewing drive on your way to Amboseli (a 3-hour drive). Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge for check-in and lunch and have time to relax. Go on an afternoon game drive in search of the park's popular residents like the well-known predators and their prey like zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. You will also see hippos and have a view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. At 18h00, you return for dinner and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge (we book the best rooms with a view).

You have another early start to the day with a cup of coffee before you proceed on a game-viewing drive. Return for breakfast and then drive to Ziwani Voyager. On arrival, you check in and have lunch. The camp offers a variety of activities to enjoy, including night game drives, guided nature walks, and bird watching. You can choose to go on a walking safari before dinner. On the night game drive, you have the chance to see hippos and other wildlife. Return for overnight at Ziwani Voyager Tented Camp.

Check out after breakfast and proceed on your mid-morning game-viewing drive as you head to Taita Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, check in and have lunch. You can go on an afternoon game viewing or enjoy the wonderful lodge with a view of the waterhole as herds of elephants come to drink.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary hosts four members of the Big Five and it's adjacent to Tsavo West National Park. Enjoy excellent views and photographic opportunities from the lobby and terrace areas of Salt Lick Safari Lodge, built on stilts. Visit the underground tunnel and bunker with ground-level windows that provide unbelievably close, yet safe, access to a variety of animals as they frequent the waterhole for water and salt licks. After dinner at the lodge, you can go on a night game drive with our driver-guide before returning for your overnight stay.
